Speaker Biography
Lizzie’s love of making began from a young age, training in Costume Production and starting her career as a freelance maker. She then moved in to the workroom at Angels Costumiers, developing a deep knowledge of pattern cutting while working on complex, bespoke garments for TV, film and theatre. Lizzie had a brief spell touring Asia, Europe and Mexico supervising the wardrobe for a leading dance production, before moving into the world of bespoke tailoring. Here she developed her skills in fitting and began managing relationships with factories, which became a clear passion point for her. This continued at luxury swimwear brand Heidi Klein. Now Lizzie works as the Product and Technical Manager at Alexa Chung, where she helps to oversee critical stages of the product lifecycle. Working closely with their supply chain and factories and enjoying evolving their sustainability agenda.
